My role at the practice involves many hats. Besides being a Dentist, I aspire to be a leader, a motivator, a healer, a teacher and a role model. There is no single job at a Dental practice that is any more or less important than the others. I enjoy our culture and work hard at providing a fun and safe working environment for my staff and patients.
My education from Grade school to Grad school spanned many states in the Midwest. Originally from Ohio (Go Buckeyes), I have lived in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota before settling in Charlotte. I did my Undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Dental Degree is from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
I graduated from Dental School in 2003 from Minnesota. I worked for a group practice for 6 years before starting Sautter Family Dentistry from scratch in January 2011.
My staff and patients give me purpose. I enjoy working alongside my staff daily and watching them grow professionally and personally. My patients are what drive me to be my best because that’s what they expect from me day in and day out.
I think what sets us apart is our continued effort and strive to be better. Our culture is the heart of our practice and our Patients know it! We implement systems that allow us to be consistent, thorough and professional in all things Dental. Our Administrative team has specific systems in place to help our patients navigate the confusing world of dental insurance. Our Hygienists take CE courses that are applicable to our patients’ needs (Not just a weekend course in Myrtle Beach). Our Periodontal department is top notch at detecting and treating early signs of gum disease to prevent future tooth loss. Our Assistant team is a collaborative effort to make procedures painless and efficient for our patients. They are experts at using our digital technology to make dentistry less invasive and more streamlined for a better patient experience. And we do all this while having fun!
Outside of work is where I do my most important work. As a husband and father of 2 teenage girls, I’m a girl dad through and through. I’m a closet Swiftie and have been to weekend volleyball tournaments in every major city in the surrounding states. My wife and I enjoy a weekend away in Charleston and I have been known to hit a golf ball or two in my prime. Augusta National and Las Vegas are a couple special destinations that make me happy.
A fun fact that you may not know about me is that in my former life I was an MC and involved with Public Relations for the Charlotte Knights before they moved to Uptown in 2014. I cannot confirm or deny that I have spent time as Homer the Dragon.
